IDW Sonic The Hedgehog (#1-79)

Crazy theory here ( has nothing to do with the latest comic). Eggman is the good guy! He’s actually from another universe/dimension or time-line. In his reality he was never evil. Just a brilliant scientist minding his own business. But then something big happens. Maybe the events of 06 or some other catastrophe happens and Sonic isn’t there to stop it because he never developed into a hero. Eggman never attacked. Sonic never stopped him. Sonic didn’t save the day. So Eggman is the only survivor of his world. He goes to other worlds almost exactly the same as his and finds a reoccurring problem. No one can save the day. But then eventually he finds a universe where Sonic is a hero and saves the day. Why? Because he has a villain to fight. But in this universe Sonic dies. So Eggman finds another world identical to the others but still needs his help. This world’s Eggman died on the Death Egg so Other dimension Eggman takes his place (that’s why classic Eggman and modern Eggman look so different). Now Sonic still has a villain to fight so he may be ready for the big catastrophe. Eggman acts evil so the world remains safe. He is the fall guy and he accepts this. He will always be remembered as a monster, but was really a hero.
