okay, is it just me, or am I the only one who wonders why starline has a warp topaz. or how he’s weirdly obsessed with eggman?
Little suggestion as to how to fix the Metal Sonic thing.
Dude literally survived a fall in Sonic Heroes, I feel like the best solution would be for Metal to survive his fall in the last issue but be badly damaged so he rushes back to Eggman and then the rest happens. I’d rather have that than Sonic having actual brain damage.

So Sonic let a robot who has attacked him on multiple occasions and is the minion of his life long archenemy go out into the world after rejecting any form of redemption? I like these comics and and i like Ian Flynn but Sonic’s characterization here is genuinely terrible (he definitely would’ve let Erazor Djinn from Secret Rings go if him there was like him here).
On the flip side, Metal restoring Eggman’s memories was cool.
Imagine being Metal sonic waking up to expect to see your beloved doctor repairing you and instead see a a fox that can fly with his butt tinkering with you 💀

something about how it’s metal specifically that brings eggman’s memories back vs any other badnik / orbot & cubot … their weird little internal rivalry/twisted familial dynamic is so intriguing to me. i adore it.
