The joke was executed poorly, they drag it on for a few seconds too long, and they bring it back in lost world, only for Sonic to mispronounce it. It didn’t help that Sonic was poorly characterized in colors and lost world(and forces too).

in my opinion, charmy is a good character, people just dont like characters with a talkative personality or high pitched voice, which i find stupid, i dont care about if charmy talks a lot, i care how he acts, and he is a fun character, i also respect him using his size to sleep on the celling fan

I think this is where I stop reading IDW. Even after everything I don’t really like it. The world-building is really empty and I don’t really care for it’s comic original characters. The stories play far too safe for my liking and rarely anything happens which has a lasting affect.
I prefer Archie Sonic a lot more.
Perhaps when the comic reaches 100 issues, maybe I will come back (I prefer to binge-read comics anyway), but for now, it has been too mediocre for too long.
Don’t judge it just yet. The next arc might just be metal virus levels of story.
If I hear it ramps up, maybe I’ll stay but IDK.
