Imposter Syndrome #3

Man, being born in the IDW universe must suck. First the whole metal virus arc, then also whisper backstory with her team being all whiped out, then belle whose father is the evilest person alive and created her in a rare moment of goodness, then now surge and kit, who were probably just two random civilians, robbed of their past and whose personalities are totally fabricated by starline. Really liking these concepts so far, especially surge and kit. Been reading all the comics lately, and i prefer IDW so far to archie. Don’t get me wrong, archie highs are cool but to get to them you have to first get to a lot of horrible lows, penders inserting his stupid love triangles for the sake of drama, lore incosistencies between authors etc so while especially flynn era archie is really cool i think consistency is also a factor, and so far IDW is more consistent in quality. Of course it is not perfect, but IDW’s lows so far are not as bad archie’s. In general i also prefer the comic exclusive characters, archie’s often look either like some 10 year old kid’s sonic oc or look like some furry ocs that don’t belong to sonic at all but look like from some other franchise, IDW’s instead really do look like they belong to the games and if they were ever featured in one i don’t think they’d look out of place, while i can’t say the same for many archie characters

Surge is NUTS. Also, I love how on the next cover, Sonic and Surge are hitting Metal and each other and COMPLETELY forgetting that Metal is actively strangling them.
