Well, that’s the Adventure era done.
Personally, I think it’s a serious mixed bag with higher highs but lower lows than the Classic era. The overall balance may slightly edge into the positive but damn, some of those stories were a pain to read.
Now into the famous Modern era I go. Let’s see what’s all the noise is about.

i read 160 up to 247 (think that’s when the reboot happened?) and the universes 1-50 last summer but there is NO way I can read the adventure era, it seems so messy from the issues i have read (issue 70, the return to angel island arc and 155-156 plus some others I forgot) im a big reader so maybe i could read it but it seems so bad and it confused me

I accidentally opened StH 155, and I realized why I didn’t want to start reading Archie. Everyone cheats on each other, everyone is jealous and everyone LOVES each other. Oh my God….

just start with the different era, it’s not like this all the time.
ian flynn stories are good, he basically made archie sonic readable and more canon to games. and yes, his archie stuff is waaaay better than the modern idw shit or sonic frontiers nonsense.

I got Frontiers for Christmas in 2022, basically a month after it came out. And I beat it BEFORE The Final Horizon came last September. Trust me, The End is MUCH BETTER in Another Story than in the main game. (That’s if you play on Hard OR Extreme, as Easy and Normal just have that QTE.) As for the Archie Comics, Ian Flynn’s writing is simply phenomenal. Plus, I prefer Charmy to be who he REALLY was, a charming teenage prince instead of the brain-damaged detective that he is in the later issues and in the games.

Oh, you wanna see bizarre? Issue 150. Where Tails transformed into Titan Tails. Notice that his facial expression is locked in a look of anger and justice, and he talks WITHOUT using apostrophes in his words. That’s because of what I realized. Issue 150 was the first one to acknowledge that ALL of Tails’ transformations cause the ancient heroic spirit within him to take over his body, because, when he first fought Mammoth Mogul in Issue 56, he used the Chaos Siphon and stole Mogul’s powers for his own. At that point, I was like, “I knew it. Tails is just like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde!” Why is that? It’s because ALL of his forms… Are controlled by his SPLIT PERSONALITY.

The REAL plot of Issues 95 to 114 is that Tails, in his Turbo form, had been kidnapped by Mammoth Mogul and replaced him with a sentient CLONE until the REAL Tails was rescued. This is the start of our beloved Chosen One gaining a SPLIT PERSONALITY.

Uh, excuse me?? Check Issues 93 and 94. Prince Charmy Bee is the one true best version of Charmy, because that’s who he REALLY was before he got put in the Egg Grapes and gave him brain damage. (Also, I love Prince Charmy better than vanilla Charmy. Don’t judge me.)

If that’s the case, then I DARE you to get someone on the Archie Sonic Online Team to draw and create a fan-made comic that the original writers wouldn’t do. A 3-part Prince Charmy Bee Mini-Series that showcases the best life ever given to the crown prince of the Golden Hive Colony, and his love with his girlfriend, Saffron. (Plus, I found this out myself. Prince Charmy’s cape does happen to contain some enchanted properties, as it makes his wings magically disappear, and allows him to fly WITHOUT using them. Trust me. His Majesty just looks better with his cape on. And the fact that he is able to fly without his wings, logic aside, is absolutely cool to me.)
