On god one of my favorite issues. This and the ending to the Metal Virus arc. (Honestly I wanna see more Super Sonic ngl) if they somehow fumble Surges personality in this upcoming arc istg. And Kit needs a spotlight. Maybe he hasn’t gotten one because that’s the point. Surge and Kit are like Sonic & Tails’ personalities cranked up to 11. So it makes sense Kit would be in Surges Shadow ALL the time.
Cannot get over how beautiful the art is in this issue. Fine lined forms and architecture like that is EXCEPTIONALLY difficult to draw well, and here they are PERFECT. From pencils to colours, layout to lettering, the 50th issue pigs out, it is GORGEOUS.

I truly can’t NOT explain as to how much I love this comic see, before i read the idk comics I HATED Egan with all my might he was just waaay too stupid to even be Sonic’s main enemy it doesn’t help that in the 2010’s the writing turned to shit (the only type of eggman I liked was movie eggman because he actually had good writing) but this comic is just peak as to how good eggman really is he truly plays 4D chess when outsmarting starline you can truly tell he has the upper hand. And starline face of fear really helps set the mood as well. And the way he treats belle is just horrible he is now the best sonic villain (at least in my opinion)

This is what I like about Eggman, he’s a legitimate threat to anyone, anyone but Sonic and friends, when going against them, he’s the funny and entertaining nemesis we all know and love, but when against someone else, he’s straight out of a horror movie.

The toxic codependency starline brainwashed into kit and surge is so fascinating. I hope that even past this when I’m sure they’re inevitably redeemed some of it sticks around because it creates such an interesting dynamic not just between the two but in parallel to sonic and tails as well.
Also some of those action scenes were very anime, love it
I loved Starline, now I will have depression.. too! What did my boy do to deserve this?! And yes, Starline was a bad guy.. but.. we loved him! *Sob* No! Is my evil short boy dead?! *Serious* I will avenge your death, Starline!

Honestly it’s possible for Starline to come back. Sonic has survived worse than that.
But that’s just wishful thinking in hopes that my favorite flamboyant platypus comes back. Even if he was confirmed dead by the creator.
Though the same creator did say it’s possible he’ll bring him back.
