I was apprehensive about a writer other than Flynn taking the mantle but thus arc cooked! This page especially I adore. The dynamic of shadow subtly hanging around Sonic out of sight and Sonic talking to him without looking is so fun.

Though I don’t want to be someone who sees shipping when its not there, the little chao heart being strategically placed perfectly between the two in the panel could, at the very least, demonstrate that the two have gotten closer since their first meeting.
just overall a cool little interaction that speaks for both of their characters
I am glad that sonic and shadow got along pretty well in general in this comic book
