The only times we’ve seen anything about a real relationship was with SATAM and Sonic X, but SATAM was a western sonic show and was eventually scrapped, and with sonic x cosmos was literally blown up by tails… so I don’t count that, because they both ended real bad 😀

Tangle and Whisper are implied to be LGBTQ+ by Ian Flynn (via Suspiciously Specific Denial) during this Q&A . Many creatives including Flynn himself do support the ship , though notes the only thing that prevents them from being an Official Couple is SEGA’s no romance rule.

It’s not just the holding hands, it’s the flag and the holding hands. If you saw two people looking at each other and holding hands while both wearing like, lesbian flag pins you wouldn’t assume “Ah yes heterosexual besties here.” and I’m pretty sure that one of the comic creators implied Whispangle was canon. I’m confused about how people can keep up an argument when they are very blatantly wrong, it has been hinted at by the CREATORS OF THE CHARACTERS and shown vaguely MULTIPLE TIMES the entire course of these characters being part of the franchise, from when we first met each other to where we are now, Tangle and Whisper are meant to be a lesbian couple and the only reason why this isn’t just slapped in our faces is because of SEGA’s policies, which is also why they haven’t done much with any other character ship out there, (whether it’s true or not), fighting a battle you can’t win just makes you look stupid, and what makes it worse is that you know you can’t win and yet you still argue and make a fool of yourself
