Great. Now Mimic is working with Surge and Kit. 3 POWERHOUSES working together. Yup, this battle is gonna be INSANE. I agree with Surge; Whisper is the only one with sense. I didn’t trust Surge at the beginning either. No matter—Surge is too cool she’s still one of favorite characters! (Along with Starline, Espio, Mighty, Shadow, Tangle, and Whisper. Yes, I said Starline. I’m part of the 1% of the Sonic fandom that actually likes Starline).
It seems the “Duo” is now a trio. -_- Whisper’s got good instincts. It’s really gonna bring up bad memories though.

another one of my ideas is that surge will decide to double cross clutch, but kit wont and it’ll turn into a battle between them.

as interesting as that would be, if something like that happened kit would probably have a mental breakdown due to the conflict between “revenge” and “be helpful to surge”

her dad erased her memories to just to force her to be who he wanted , do what he wanted , and keep her from having her own free will
she isnt used to feeling like she’s allowed to have thoughts and feelings that dont align perfectly with someone else controlling her
not meaning she never has or never shows thoughts or feelings that dont match someone else : but meaning she anticipates a push back to her free will . she anticipates that it will not be permitted . and she anticipates having to hide it , or fight for it .
she probably thinks Amy expects her to be an obedient recruit , but , Amy doesnt . neither she nor Sonic want Surge or Kit to be forced into a situation they dont want to be in .
and to Surge this is deeply confusing . she’s expecting to have to fight to have her thoughts and opinions matter , but she’s just – allowed to exist . she doesnt have to stay , and that breaks all the rules she’s learned in order to survive .

Both Kit and Surge have severe trauma (was canonically stated by Starline in a previous issue as he needed to “figure out how to work around the trauma”)
Surge was shown having psychosis style ptsd while kit likely suppresses/internalizes his.
