After reading Reboot for the 3rd time, i can’t say how much i appreciated this. Retelling the game and usng it to supersize Sonic’s universe was an excellent idea.
And all the twists they added were perfect, keeping characters from the 90s relevant, staying true to the games, and having an ENTIRE SERIES just to follow the adventures of Sonic characters other than Sonic himself helped add more dynamic, elements and fan service than we have ever seen.
Sadly I’m not sure we’ll ever see anything like this again. Hopefuly somehow, one day, Reboot can cuntinue, but it’s unlikely.
I have hope idw can still do something like this, yah it might not be the same, but idw still has the same writers, and I’m sure eventually they’ll start moving in a simaler direction Reboot has, who knows, maybe something entirely different but nearly as good.
