That’s not a Wisp Core (not even sure that’s a thing), that’s the Power Core (specifically the “Fly” type) that’s Starline gave him in the Bad Guys miniseries.

Anyone else notice Whisper Trolling Mimic when Silver popped in?
What I mean by that is Look closely at her in those panels, she’s still drinking her drink as Mimic tries to unalive her. 10/10 trolling right there.

Kinda off-topic, but honestly, I think Surge’s rivalry with Sonic was the best done out of any of his rivalries (I like his other rivals better, but let me explain).
With Shadow, Silver, and Metal, you always have the issue that Sega made the same mistake over and over again: they made this powerful new rival for Sonic, but they made the rival way too powerful and every time you fight them, they have to dial down their abilities by an exaggerated amount so you can beat them for the plot. Silver can honestly just throw anyone he pleases into orbit, Metal has more abilities than I can count, and Shadow is… Shadow. The Ultimate Lifeform.
With Surge they made her juuuuuuuust the right power level. Strong enough to compete with Sonic, but not so strong that Sonic has to grow over team just to match up to her like he did with the others. Metal probably just smoked Surge solo cuz he can scan his opponent, instantly identify weaknesses, and then adapt his strategy accordingly.
Alright I want to know your guys’ opinions on this: is Mimic alive or dead?

I don’t think Mimic is dead, it seems kinda anticlimactic. If he really is tho then, yippee 😀
Richforce commented about how Silver wanting to kill someone (among other things) was a break from his character. I think it’s those around him influencing him. Whisper wanted to kill Mimic and Eggman, Espio and Blaze aren’t above lethal force, and Shadow is… well, we know what Shadow’s like. (See image below to see what I mean.

Did any of see that mimic fell in the water before the explosion started when whisper was still in it so there mimic is alive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
