Whisper goes about how it’s over and her friends are now at peace, trauma like that is not so easily dealt with. Maybe in this moment Whisper might feel good but it doesn’t change her friends are still gone. Sure a threat is gone and he won’t hurt anyone anymore but that wasn’t her intent, her intent was to end him like Tangle told her she’d have to live with his blood on his hands and he just happens to keep them off but it doesn’t change she lowered herself to his level and now gets off. It completely undoes her moving on at the end of her and Tangle’s miniseries, now it goes that you need to get that payback instead of dealing with the feelings themselves, that’s how you make psychopaths.

However, the other problem is that both Whisper and Silver lied to Tangle and got away with it. All this time Tangle was under the impression that they were going to capture Mimic again and “bury him deeper” like Whisper said at the end of their miniseries not knowing that the two were thinking of deeper being six feet under. For Silver this is a total break from his character, he’s open with his friends tells them how he feels and when he screws up takes that feedback, he wouldn’t go around someone’s back to get payback on someone who humiliated him and tried to take him out.

It’s even worse with Whisper lying to Tangle, the two have a deep relationship whether you interpret that relationship to be romantic or not, but dishonesty like that is poison to those relationships. Either the truth gets out, and it usually does, and Tangle will know they both used her or if Whisper keeps hiding her lie it becomes that much easier to lie to Tangle again and that’s poison to relationships. Saying it’s fine to mislead your friends to get what you want is a horrible lesson.
