Him pulling up in the GUN truck that chases you in Sonic Adventure 2 was funny, just as insanely proportioned as I remember. Also Omega wasn’t forgotten! Yay!
I enjoy every iteration of my boy, but I’m not sure if i love how he’s written here. Shadow’s stubborn to a fault but not usually making choices this stupid. He’s also written so cold here, though I suppose i’m just nostalgic for his arcs in Sonic Universe

i haven’t known sonic’s franchise for ages, but even as a new fan shadow’s characterization on this issue felt completely uncomfortable. ughhhh why did they have to write him as such an a***h**** with no apparent reason???

It’s not that disatorus. He can’t use chaos energy or his air shoes. It’s fine. But if Sonic gets infected he’s too fast…. Game over. Also, Y doesn’t Sonic have chest hair? Silver and Shadow do. So what’s different about him (other than speed)

Wait… I’m not as informed in Sonic lore as most people, but isn’t Shadow technically NOT an actual hedgehog? He’s artificial life, no? So how was the virus able to infect him? Granted, artificial life is still technically life, but I feel like he should’ve been immune in some way…
Why Shadow?! He’s one of the best characters in the Sonic universe! Well, I guess he’s not the last main character to get infected by the Metal Virus…

OF COURSE edgy hedgy Shadow comes in and mows down Metal Virus victims with his truck and makes a dramatic entrance. AND of course Shadow, being the stubborn guy he is, becomes one of the top five first people infected (NOT counting Rough & Tumble since they were just guinea pigs to kick things off).
