i haven’t known sonic’s franchise for ages, but even as a new fan shadow’s characterization on this issue felt completely uncomfortable. ughhhh why did they have to write him as such an a***h**** with no apparent reason???

Trust me I’ve been an avid Sonic fan for more than a decade and it’s definitely out of character for shadow to do what he did. Like yeah he’s the ultimate life form but even shadow knows when to be cautious and listen.And he definitely isn’t cocky.He basically pulled a Sonic move and got himself infected. But I do like seeing this shadow in this comic, he deserves it tho

It’s not that disatorus. He can’t use chaos energy or his air shoes. It’s fine. But if Sonic gets infected he’s too fast…. Game over. Also, Y doesn’t Sonic have chest hair? Silver and Shadow do. So what’s different about him (other than speed)

Wait… I’m not as informed in Sonic lore as most people, but isn’t Shadow technically NOT an actual hedgehog? He’s artificial life, no? So how was the virus able to infect him? Granted, artificial life is still technically life, but I feel like he should’ve been immune in some way…
Dude, Shadow is half-hedgehog and half-Black Arms. So he still is a hedgehog. I really don’t know where you people got the notion that he isn’t. And the fact that he was infected, goes to show how brilliant Eggman is, managing to create such a powerful disease that was capable of infecting even the Ultimate Lifeform. And before you say “oh Shadow should’ve been imune to it”, the Sonic X Generations Manga shows us that he was unable to cure Maria’s disease, so yeah. It’s not outside the realm of possibility that he could be infected, just needs to be a strong enough virus to break through his body’s natural defenses.
Why Shadow?! He’s one of the best characters in the Sonic universe! Well, I guess he’s not the last main character to get infected by the Metal Virus…

AND of course Shadow, being the stubborn guy he is, becomes one of the top five first people infected (NOT counting Rough & Tumble since they were just guinea pigs to kick things off).

I must say in phineas and ferb there’s one episode where there is an infection and they use rubber to protect them selves so why don’t they do the same in this?

You are right. Like they talk about him as if he didnt wanted to save people. He does, in his own way. Plus, yeah he may be stubborn but he isnt so stupid to not be careful and get infected (Thats how I personally see it at least)
