What should sonic have said to convince shadow then? Sonic even admitted that eggman started both of those problems.
Sonic believes people can change, in this case because of amnesia but still. He used Shadow as an example as well, and a good one too! Shadows goal was the destruction of earth entirely in SA2, and he tried to kill sonic multiple times then. All over two people. An entire planets destruction because of the actions of a single unit of GUN troops.
SHOULD sonic just put an end to Shadow just in case his hatred for humanity might come back like how it could have gone in Shadow the Hedgehog? The same logic applies.
Clearly the authors have played the games they’re referencing. You should ask the directors of Sonic 06 why they have Shadow working for the group that Killed Maria.
