This is not how Amnesia works. It erases your memories, sure, but it doesn’t erase your core personality. Eggman should be still be evil regardless of whether or not he has amnesia. Would’ve been fine if it was a act but no, it’s not. He’s just a straight up different person which makes no sense.
These comics are good but their flaws can be massive sometimes

Was gonna comment about IDW’s take on an eggman amnesia arc but fuck all that because the king just arrived!
I shouldn’t be surprised they pulled the shadow card this early, it’s certainly one way to get a lot of new and old fans interested in a new comic series. Won’t catch me complaining about it, though!

It must be great for Sonic. I mean, he’s fought Egghead for so long, to have peace with him must feel good. It will be really interesting if Mr. Tinker stays, and he and Sonic become friends….
Mr.tinker is probably my favorite character by far, I love these Eggman kinda arcs. It’s amazing every time he reforms. Even if they are only temporary
For some reason, when Eggman was Mr. Tinker, I gave him a kind of wimpy British accent. IDK where my brain was when I was reading this.
I think EGGMAN land is just a little playground for the kids
