I appreciate they kept sonic as a reluctant hero type who prefers freedom and fun over responsibility. I was worried after Sonic Forces that that aspect had begun to be lost.
Him offering for Amy to come along with him was pretty crazy. I didn’t think he’d ask that to anyone he’d have to slow down for, let alone be so bold

The Archie Comics is a combination of the classic games and a new approach to Sonic media. This is an absolutely superb comic series.
Man, Sonic and Amy make a great combat pair! So nice to see them team up like this! Gonna be disappointed if our mystery villain is just Eggman.
As a 16 year old who has grown up with Sonic Freedom Fighters Archie comics, as well as the Sonic X Mega Man crossover comic, and grew up with Sonic SATAM, Sonic Underground, Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic X, and Sonic Boom, and grew up with 80-91% of the games, I am IN LOVE with the IDW comics so far! I can’t wait to be introduced to the newer Sonic characters I’ve heard of (not listing names because I don’t want to spoil)! Can’t wait to see my echidna boy Knuckles next issue!

I’m enjoying the path they’re going with Amy, it tones down her stalker-ish attitude towards the blue pincushion, in favor of one still infatuated with him, but to a less dramatic degree. I also noticed when Sonic was carrying Amy that she has a tail, I never noticed that till now
