It’s insane to me that, despite the warnings, despite the obviously graphic content, despite it being gory and scary just to be gory and scary, people still read this and leave garbage comments. These comments are proof that the comic is doing a good job scaring people, though! A horror movie that doesn’t scare you or make you anxious isn’t a good horror movie, and I think the same goes in this case.
Compositionally this comic is gorgeous. The colours evoke alarm, like the flashing of an emergency hallway light in a power outage. The thick linework, distorted imagery, and the way this artist uses their brushes is extremely skillful. I have so much respect for this artist and I keep finding myself coming back and reading these comics to enjoy the bold visual, especially this one. It’s absolutely horrifying and it’s awesome.
