This is probably the first one-shot we’ve had that feels like it doesn’t really do anything. All the other seasonal ones were cute and good but… I dunno, I don’t think the plot here really fits how short it feels, especially when it’s not exactly hard to predict at least one of the two bad guys is going to be responsible for it in the end. Oh well.
Jewel should’ve won, the contest is rigged.

I really enjoyed this annual! Honestly I love the art and I love seeing espio! Thus this annual makes me very happy:) !! Ofc the story wasn’t the most grandest thing ever but honestly so fun to read!!!

I was exited for this. But I was disappointed with the result. 🙁
This issue was lame.
Nice art and scenery (except some color mistakes), but the whodonit had lame red herrings and the only twist was just one of the skunk bros being the culprit (shocker, I know).
Also, the last pages about the characters having fun not only don’t feuture all of the mains in the story, but it fails to deliver that “endless fun with friends” moment that previous special had.
So those last words about “remembering this spring forever” are quite narmy and lame. Which sucks because I like watching me fellas having fun in Slice of Life stories, but this is a no.
Also, I feel bad for all those people who got Cover A and B months earlier due to delays while expecting Blaze, Knuckles, Tangle and Whisper in the story.
Only cream got something of a cameo, which still sucks.
Again, if I’ll ever remember this out of time spring, it will not be for the best.

Dudeee this issue has such a fun and cute story and is visually stunning!!! The backgrounds are so full of detail and the colours are so vibrant- I really like the unique designs of all the background characters too.
Plussss more of Silver, the Chaotix, AND Tails + Sonic hanging out as brothers?? Loved this issue🫶🫶

Damn, this comic was… extremely underwhelming. Just a generic mystery-solving plot-line, but with Sonic characters. And a very obvious culprit. The art is also really ugly, IMHO. Somehow this turned out worse that the winter special. I hope this is the last of these IDW seasonal specials because they’ve all been mid and have no reason for existing.
