I really hope this is not the end of the Hooligans, i want to see them reunite again soon. They are an iconic team.
One question: Why didn’t Fang (or Nack) use Warp Topaz’s power during his fights in Superstars?
Presumably because:
1. He sold it to someone else for money.
2. He some how randomly lost it.
3. The warp topaz teleported somewhere elsewhere.
4. He forgot he had it in his Marvelous queen.
Presumably it teleported to it’s origin cave where starline found it.

The hard boiled heavies make a comeback! overall, good comic. loved the plot, and the hard boiled heavies. Can’t forget Nack the Weasel.
I feel like archie woulda done this better. Their storytelling style was much more decisive. It feels like nothing pivotal really happened besides a small setup for Sonic the Fighters
what does this have to do with sonic the fighters other than the main 3?
Forgot about this series past the first issue so figured I may as well binge it now. It’s fine I guess but as other people have said probably would have served better as a one-shot special instead of being dragged out over 4 months. Hopefully the extra time for the main comics is worth it at least.
They had to build the story up so they could see why in the classic comic the one fang fought that big flikie and found Trip so they needed to show more before it happened.

Wow this entire series have turned into something I was NOT expecting, the whole supertstars prequel thing shows that flynn is really trying to make superstars make sense since sonic team doesn’t care that in the comics fang doesn’t have his sidekick in the game.
Also, this is unrelated to the comic but I just finished sonic rush and I wanna know your opinion on it.
i still dont know where the warp topaz went in superstars since fang never teleports in the game from what ive seen
Ik this comic is about the hooligans but I wish there was more classic sonic and tails, all they really do is destroy the egg wing and thats really it

Let the other characters have fun sometime, moreso if hooligans are not even playable in classic game outside of Sonic The Fighters.

Yeah, this was lame. This could have easily been condensed into one special, we lost four months of main IDW Sonic for nothing.

The game came out first so it makes sense the Warp Topaz was only in the comics
Ok the story is good but I’m still confused like. How we saw sonic and tails but where’s knuckles? I like to see a knuckles ending with sonic and tails pls. 🙂
firstly knuckles is on angel island guarding the master emerald
secondly it says to be continued in sonic superstars
Correct! In Knuckles’s ending in Sonic Superstars he goes back to Angel Island to guard the Master Emerald. Second, he was guarding the Master Emerald at that point
Bark did a Dragon Ball reference. Story was great. We finally know why Bark and Bean aren’t in Sonic Superstars. We got more Classic Sonic and Tails. W ending.

This whole comic was just building up to being a tie in to a game that came out last year!?
This is a serious let down man.
Yeah, this year was a letdown so far between delays and nothingburgers that are mediocre at best.
I’d say I’d feel bad for Fang but that was deserved for all the stuff he put them through
what if it was all just a bad dream and they were still together and happy and best friends and nothing bad ever happened to them
That would be awesome. Let’s just say that happens in the sequel.
Reality is harsh, but is open to possibilities.
One of them could be a reunion, moreso after Fang got owned in Superstars and need to catch up for next time.
