So if you look at the next month comic there is a spiral that leads to a glowing object it doesn’t look like the phantom ruby could fit it and the voip sound and sparkle is signs its the warp topaz and if eggman got ahold of the phantom ruby that would just lead to sonic mania. Also why would eggman ever use the phantom ruby to make a teleporting flying battery? He would probably just make the death egg but the warp topaz probably has a size limit to what it can do. But if hes on that island he might be following the legend which might lead to a chaos emerald or the phantom ruby but if he gets a chaos emerald he might try to supercharge the warp topaz for a teleporting death egg or he might just use the warp topaz to make a teleporter for badniks. Either one would make sense honestly but they might find a portal to the super emeralds which is really stretching it.

yeah, but they do in Archie they appear in some issues but I also wish Bark could talk. also, Classic Sonic was writing badly and Classic Sonic does not talk in the games so maybe that’s why he was not meant to talk, in my opinion, sliver’s the best character.

At this point all of the characters are just their modern counterparts expect they have their modern design and other character that don’t have an modern appearance exist.
Also, I’m pretty sure that in the original sonic games the chaos emeralds where more of a rare mineral than just “the 7 chaos emeralds” so that’s something that they forgot. Also also the colors aren’t very good but that’s just a miner nitpick. Overall I actually like this 🙂

The chaos emerald thing is not them forgetting, but rather them doing a bit of retconning to make the universe make more sense.

Yeah, after I wrote the comment I thought about the chaos emeralds thing and they probably retconned it in sonic 2 since they wanted to steal it from dragon ball.

I’m 99% sure that it’s the Warp Topaz. If you go back to the 900th Adventure issue, almost every time the Warp Topaz warps, it’s illustrated with a yellow-green spark and a “VOIP” onomatopoeia. Guess how it’s illustrated here? A yellow-green spark and a “VOIP” onomatopoeia. It has to be the Warp Topaz!
