First Sonic IDW book with Trip. Nice book. I’ve seen Sonic superstars and Sonic mania and Knuckles chaotic and Sonic 3. Knuckles intro has a story that connects the story together.
Loved Knuckles being a mentor to Trip; this comic was so wholesome. Knuckles even found out that he has a bit of a temper problem, and is looking to better himself. I respect that! Love Aaron’s art

And that’s why her name is “Trip”! 😀 It was great to explore and develop her, especially seeing the rest of her people! But seriously, Knuckles, did your parents die when you were an infant or something? What’s the lore with you exactly? Lol now I imagine, at the end of Knuckles’ adventures with the others, he has to ask Tails to give him a lift back to Angel Island. XD
i think his parents died from an illness and so did all other echidnas but knuckles had a special immune system that protected him from it (just a guess)
Nope, it was explained in Sonic Adventure that they were wiped out by Chaos.

Even if the Nocturnus are still canon, they disappeared before the tribe was mostly wiped out by perfect chaos. And that was 2000 or 5000 years before the present day. We don’t really know WHY knuckles doesn’t have a single living relative, but its more likely it had something to do with the portal to starfall.
Honestly, I think it was just something that naturally happend over time
It’s impossible that all the echidnas were wiped out by Chaos, that happend 3000 years before Knuckles and I don’t think he was the only survivor for that and is 3000 years old
I think many of them lived after that, of course, but Chaos attack made their population run thin, and instead of growing back throughout the generations, the population started to get smaller and smaller through those 3000 years, until Knuckles was the only one left

As a 30th Anniversary special for the character? Very much not great of a special, even more compared to the others before it.
Seeing it just as a normal storybook? Pretty funny and cute. It’s definitely not a bad comic in any way, it’s just not very exciting for “30th Anniversary Special” is all.
yeah but they were probably working on the 75th seeing as it’s gonna be probably be twice the size of a normal issue
makes sense, but im on the side that thinks this comic was amazing
