I think it would make an amazing animated series, like prime or it could be 2d. I think it would be perfect and Sega would make a lot of money (unless a dedicated fan does it first of course lol)
First thing, as much as I like IDW, I don't think it would be a great animated series because it works better in comic form
Second, a dedicated fan has already done that, it's called Sonic Rebound, it's mostly faithful with some bigger differences in later episodes Sonic Rebound: All Episodes in order (so far) - YouTube
Yeah, I wouldn't like it either, not saying it cant happen, but I wouldn't care THAT much. But I would watch Sonic Rebound when I can!
The IDW comics are complete garbage. We shouldn't waste our next chance for a Sonic cartoon on those. I'm still holding out hope that one day we'll get a Sonic cartoon like Avengers EMH, which was a tribute to Marvel.
@archiesonicfan You shouldn't express too much of your opinion. I don't really like Archie but I respect even though I don't really like it. I like IDW because the comics are canon and it relates to the games. Also I wouldn't mind if IDW series was a show & Archie I also wouldn't mind. *walks away and doesn't turn back*
@frontiers22_ri But its his opinion, some points he shares I agree with, Idw being canon is a good thing but also being a bad thing, like When a new game comes out they have to stop doing a arc to focus on it, Archie didn't have this problem, but it didn't get better at it till post 159, I still respect your opinion but you should see why other people don't like IDW being a series.
@ssx I've tried, I really have, but I just can't respect IDW. To me, it is the anti-Sonic series. But it's just my opinion. You can like IDW, I just happen to despise it.

@twistyverse Being obsessed with the games is one of the reasons I don't like IDW and Prime. I don't believe Prime is canon, but both of these can't be their own things like they should.

That would be a perfect idea, like Sonic Gens but with more of every single part of Sonic, including Fleetway and especially Archie.
@ssx I know, but they still own the freedom fighters and a couple other characters.
But they'll probably remake Sonic Jam for Game.com before they do anything Archie related, unfortunately.
@pikonic That's what I want. Something with the general tone of Archie, with Tracy Yardley's art style, or something similar to it, and the love for the franchise like EMH had. But that's probably never going to happen.

I haven't read a whole lot of IDW, but from what I have I think it'd be interesting. Though I'd prefer it if it were something a bit more original, like using some of the IDW characters instead of just making a show that follows the same story as the comics.
And I would absolutely LOVE a show based of Archie.
