Summary
Starting with issue 160, the comic book series had a new head writer: Ian Flynn, a devoted fan who has seized upon the dream of creating stories about the blue hedgehog officialy. The personalities of the characters are finally becoming more and more similar to their videogame counterparts, and the comic book universe carefully adapts the details of the lore from the video games.

I know it might be too late but could Ian Flynn please bring back a monkey character in IDW like Monkey Khan… in the few issues he appeared in, he become one of my favorite characters ! I would love a Character with the look (art) of a monkey character again.

Now this is peak comics. I like IDW, don’t get me wrong, and I know that Archie had some pretty bad writing at some points, but imo, I think this era of Archie is honestly some of the best Sonic stories I have EVER read, heck, maybe even the best comics in general. I might be a bit biased, seeing as I have been reading Archie for a long while, but I just LOVE the characters, the story, and the whole universe. I wish some of the characters like Sally and Rotor could be added into IDW, but I know it is very unlikely to happen unfortunately 🙁
anyway, that’s just my opinion and thanks for reading this lengthy comment lol

Archie and IDW both have some really strong strengths and weaknesses. But after reading reboot especially, you can see the areas Archie had it down.

That was from the penders controversy, The had to axe characters that he made, and since that would be kinda strange that they would be in the same universe and all these characters would be gone, The rebooted it to keep it game accurate to the games, I hope this answers your queston

its apart of the worlds collide series, just like sonic boom 10. I don’t know what issue tho so you would have to search it up, but if you don’t want to read the worlds collide series you can read Archie Sonic online
