Stargazing is genuinelly such a beautiful story and it sucks that an otherwise great little story focused on Sally and Nicole has to be in the same issue as the dreadful main story, even if it’s nowhere near as bad as the last issue.
Oh well, at least it’s probably one of the best stories in the Pre-Ian Era of the comics.
This is why Ken Penders is so bizarre. Not that this is a good story, mind you, but the landmark milestone 150TH ISSUE, is just Sonic going around & hooking up with the girls while Rouge seduces Locke. That’s it. That’s the BIG milestone bonanza!
This one’s at least got: Sonic fighting the Anti-Freedom Fighters, Anti-Sonic teaming up with Rouge to steal the Master Emerald, Sonic getting back & then throwing down in the Master Emerald chamber with his evil variant. How in the world was this NOT the 150th issue in that case!? At least this one, with all it’s absurd Rouge/Locke & all the Knothole gals at the end, still has some other stuff that would have fit, yknow, the big important issue.
Insane.
