Ah I can see the Dragon Ball inspo with this new guy
I do enjoy how Knuckles becomes a literal god and seemingly reshapes the universe to his own liking (without anyone else’s input), but somehow Sonic still is the bad guy for stopping him. Honestly, the entirety of 25 years later just reeks of Penders’ hatred for Sonic himself. Sonic refusing to talk to his friends, almost drowning his kid, acting irrational… Thanks, Ken Penders.

Penders was so pissed off that Knuckles was de-powered that he decided to re-power him in the future. Also apparently he’s the one who took down Robotnik for good.
Because of course he was. Pender’s pet echidna is the MOST IMPORTANT CHARACTER after all.
