The Metal Sonic melting shtick is a fuckin canon event now dawg- It happens in Archie, OVA, and IDW bro its crazy

Wow, I went into this miniseries not expecting too much but that was incredible! I especially loved how badass Tails was during the whole arc and the depth they put into Mecha Sonic’s character.
Also, was super surprised Sega let Sonic cry cause they have a directive to not let him! I know they wrote it off as they were Mecha’s tears, but still.
What a fun arc! These side stories really hold up, I’m glad to see Sonic Universe continuing its banger side story streak through these mini volumes

I wonder if the mind link between Sonic and Mecha Sonic is permanent.
This is like, the fifth or sixth time I’ve reread this. (Is that too much? I mean, I did read it like three times in Spanish cuz I’m learning it, but still)
the mind connection was a cool touch I would like to see it again

The scene where Mecha is falling into the fire was just like the old Sonic movie, where Sonic tried to save Metal Sonic the same way. This was a very touching story though. 🙂 Hope we see them again in the main story. Even Whisper could learn that lesson from Mecha Sonic.
Mecha sonic is so cute… I love the panel at the end where he’s holding the sunflower…
