Summary
It was a dark and stormy night. Harsh rain from an unnatural storm fell upon Sonic the Hedgehog and Miles “Tails” Prower as they flew above the sea in the Tornado. Lightning strikes, causing the plane to spiral downward into a crash landing on an uncharted island. What Sonic and Tails will soon learn is that the island is no island at all, but the floating remains of the Death Egg. Scrapped, rusted, and malfunctioning Badniks call this place home. Can the friends survive isolation on an island of robots programmed to destroy them?

This comic is cute. Seeing tears in Sonic’s eyes almost made me cry, though.
So what was the point of this 4-issue storyline? Tangle and Whisper expanded on the two, introduced a new character(s?) and gave US an understanding why Whisper’s the way she is. Bad Guys explained what happened after the Metal Virus with the (At the time) bad guys, which set up the plot for Zeti Hunt. So I ask again, what was the point of this one other than an off to the side story or a cover-cameo for issue 75?
i have a question, is sonic’s brain still connected to mecha’s? if then does he just get random messages in his head like:
mecha: i guess i could count how many lights work in the death egg to pass the time.
sonic:…, what is happening with mecha today?
gamma: i am the best E-series because of my character arc
omega: I AM AM THE ULTIMIATE E-SERIES, THATS IS MY TITLE
E-117: i’d rather not get into this argument
mecha: i am depressed

Tails was awesome in this arc!
does anyone else think that they should bring back mecha sonic MKI, silver sonic/robo sonic, and mecha sonic MKIII
yoooooo it would be so cool if in the future when and if mecha sonic comes back to the mainline sonic IDW series if sonic and mecha still had that brain link that would be as sonic himself would put it “way past cool”
they should make a sequel to this series

A chilling story for the Halloween season. Also foreshadowed the Shudder movie, Malignant, about a woman who shares half a brain with the miscarriaged, deformed, DEMONIC conjoined twin that WAS surgically shoved into the back of their head so she can be in full control, except… If she got provoked TOO MUCH, the twin breaks out of their head, allowing HIM to seize control and go on a fucking KILLING SPREE. Y’know, like ALL horror movie villains do.
I can’t wait to finish this series!
