At first I was highly confused by this.
The comic which had by far the lowest review score on the site, and the comments were nothing but either praising or bashing the creator.
Then I read further into it, and how supposedly it was raided by bots.
Eventually it was re-uploaded and now I finally decided to give it a read and…
It’s alright.
Like, it’s very uneven. It’s a short read so far at least (most recent Chapter is 7) and the art is pretty good, especially with the Sonic CD adaptation giving it color.
The plot though falls into the trap of adapting the classic Sonic games and attempting to put a spin on them, only to make the simple plots far more bloated than they should be by introducing characters that barely do anything beyond progressing the plot or have proper development, especially with the Sonic CD adaptation, it basically rehashes Metal Sonic’s OVA arc in a single issue, literally word for word at times.
The endings of the story-arcs are also extremely unsatisfying, happening far too quickly to fully land, especially with Sonic 1’s 5 Chapter build-up.
So like, should you read this?
Uh, yeah. Please don’t actually take my opinion as your own, it’s clear the “haters” of this comic haven’t actually had the time to read it and form their own opinion before bashing the creator for petty and nonsensical reasons and not the media itself.
This entire thing is sadly a situation where you really need to ignore others’ opinions and actually form your own.
I know I’ve been extensively bashing on the comic throughout this whole review but it’s to be expected for a comic with only 7 installments, it’s slowly finding it’s groove.

I’ve put aside reading this for long enough, and have to say, it was pretty enjoyable overall. Nicky tagging along with Mighty and Ray is a pretty unique idea, adding onto the fact that fan content with this guy is a bit harder to find to begin with.
Even if references usually get an eyeroll out of me, the CAESAAAR setup and punchline was a good one. The humor meshes well without taking much out of the story, something I appreciate a lot… Looking forward to seeing if you do anything with this AU in the future.
Also, don’t be bothered by the moronic zealots replying under zone’s comment, they’re simply spiteful that there’s a semi-popular Sonic site that doesn’t act as another echo chamber for them.

I read “Sonic Pandemonium”twice. I enjoyed the retelling of SegaSonic and Sonic 1, the coexistence of humans & mobians, and how Nicky is incorporated into the story. My only complaint, I wished it was finished. Still, I got lost in this adventure, and I recommend it.
This is the best AU read, purp is the GOAT.
