Poor Doctor Starline — he wasn’t just seeking approval, he was in love with Eggman, hiding it behind obsession. But Eggman only ever saw him as another toy to break once the game stopped being fun.
The first time the Doctor actually gave me chills

Kit can be terrifying when he wants to be. He deserves an arc as the main villain.
Eggman’s got the Egg Emperor (Sonic Rush I think), Starline’s got that mech from Sonic Lost World, but neither of them bothered with the Egg Dragoon, which is obviously his best and most powerful mech!? I don’t get it.
Finally.
Overall great but Sonics’s characterization is still as trash as ever and I wish this story Arc was longer given how good Starline was.
Can I finally comment on this page?…
I love Giant Robot Fights. I also like how Eggman had the smaller mech but still won, shows his experience.
Eggman beat the mess out of that platypus
Starline was a great character in this series, but it was time for him to go. He outlived his usefulness as both a person and a character

If I had a nickel for every time Dr starline had “ died” I’d have 2 nickels. Which isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it happened twice.
Oh look another faker. Go ahead sonic, she’s all yours to take down. Also I’m pretty sure sonic is faster than the speed of light. He told me that he outran a black hole for around 30 seconds.
Honestly I thought they would make the fight more tough and stuff but nope! Sonic just straight out “whooped her butt” like I knew he would

Metal sonic is eggman’s son and nobody will convince me otherwise
I adore how Starline’s mental breakdown before his death explains his entire character.
Only looking at the surface, planning based off that, in “every possibility”, even if they may not happen. He claims to have perfected a technique of bruteforce, yet all he is, is exactly that – Prejudice and thereafter bruteforce, an extra step to what eggman was.
Wish we got into his origin or something at somepoint, though. He feels kinda flat due to a lack of why he is a fan of eggman in the first place. Like Surge says,
“We know a whole lot of what but none of why.”

On god one of my favorite issues. This and the ending to the Metal Virus arc. (Honestly I wanna see more Super Sonic ngl) if they somehow fumble Surges personality in this upcoming arc istg. And Kit needs a spotlight. Maybe he hasn’t gotten one because that’s the point. Surge and Kit are like Sonic & Tails’ personalities cranked up to 11. So it makes sense Kit would be in Surges Shadow ALL the time.
Cannot get over how beautiful the art is in this issue. Fine lined forms and architecture like that is EXCEPTIONALLY difficult to draw well, and here they are PERFECT. From pencils to colours, layout to lettering, the 50th issue pigs out, it is GORGEOUS.

I truly can’t NOT explain as to how much I love this comic see, before i read the idk comics I HATED Egan with all my might he was just waaay too stupid to even be Sonic’s main enemy it doesn’t help that in the 2010’s the writing turned to shit (the only type of eggman I liked was movie eggman because he actually had good writing) but this comic is just peak as to how good eggman really is he truly plays 4D chess when outsmarting starline you can truly tell he has the upper hand. And starline face of fear really helps set the mood as well. And the way he treats belle is just horrible he is now the best sonic villain (at least in my opinion)
