as sad as his story is, i’m personally really happy with how they resolved it! shadow is finally getting the recognition of being more than just a one-sided character. thank you so much for recreating his story in gens in manga form <3

Art and story’s awesome, I just wish Shadow and Maria were less, uh…..romantic with each other and more platonic. Otherwise, it was great!
And it gave me so much nostalgia to playing the game.
I’m so happy for shogakukan having to mention SxSg and the sonic franchise as a whole, especially when its not popular over in Japan. Also was really happy one of my favorite authors for corocoro was able to create the comic for this series.
I love how this comic and SxSh finally gave Shadow the closure he deserved and reinforced what his character is truly about, a protector. For too long, he’s been stuck as just the ‘edgy Vegeta’ with little to no growth since Sonic 06. I really hope Sega continues this progress and lets Shadow shine even more in the IDW series and future Sonic games. Also, I’d love to see this writer stay on, they really understand Shadow’s character and what makes him great.
It’s crazy how this is just promotion for the game. It does a much better job at conveying the story with SO MUCH MORE EMOTION! I think that’s when SxSh generations lacked. The emotional delivery and depth during Shadow’s process. This is better. I hope the writer gets to write, and even storyboard for mainline sonic games.

the ending is bitter sweet, the fact that shadow smiled as he said goodbye to maria was so sweet, I am in tears. this makes me wanna play the games.

this manga was peak this just shows sxsg could have been good without Gerald and Maria was so cutesy in this comic I love to shadow beat the color out of black doom(that’s probably why this manga has no color)Maria and shadows relationship was beautiful also shadow saying”I do” reminds of the gojo meme manga panel “nah i’d win” this comic was peak ALL HAVE SHADOW!
this was beautiful the best issue out of all of them see a remaster of the devil doom boss, seeing all the shadow and maria flash back and SEEING SHADOW SMILE!!! SO PEAKKKK!!!!!!!!!! its sad that its over but non the less loved every bit of the series.

Throughout the whole fight all that I could hear was “all hail SHADOW!”
