It’s either Shadow has serious memory loss or he just hasn’t experienced the events of the Shadow we’ve come to know and love
This is the Shadow from the past I believe. From right after Maria died.
I just reread Chapter 1. I was correct this is the Shadow from the past not the one from the present like in the Sonic x Shadow Generations where he had already been through everything from Sonic Adventure 2, Sonic Heroes, Sonic Battle, Shadow the Hedgehog, Sonic 06, and etc.
So it’s basically a what if! Kakkoi(cool in Japanese)
Except in Sonic x Shadow Generations he doesn’t remember Black Doom either ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
He does tho he literally says “I’ve defeated you once and I’ll do it again”
Well, for one, this is a non canon version of shadow, obviously. And second, this shadow comes from a time WAAY before the events of sa2, heroes, 05, and 06. How he’s experiencing events like these? No clue, probably js because of promotional reasons.
