No sadly, the comic takes place during SXSG, but in a different continuity. Kinda like how Archie would adapt the games but change certain elements to fit with the current story.

awwwwwwww c’mon seriously maria had to die it made shadows character if you changed that he would be less gritty,and it would make it like Ninjago where death doesn’t matter in that show!and if the wishing orbs are gonna be as common as the chaos emeralds then they could stop people from dying like eri from mha! and would be overpowered,lazy,and annoying!hopefully this is a trap from black doom and he just has to accept and acknowledge that she’s gone and not ignore it🥹
