Though at some points it gets drawn really badly and translation feels bad and confusing here and there, i still enjoyed reading the chapter. Not only we get to see more into life and dynamics of shadow and maria, i also very much appreciated the fact shadow cried there! Just so we can see even shadow is capable of more emotions than just anger..
Also that little detail where they talk about how even shadow didn’t help to cure maria and the panel shows them in beds from bird’s view pperspectiv, shadow is basically drawn without shoes and gloves there heheh
there’s a better translation on mangadex, much easier to read and makes more sense than this rushed one.
thoughts:first the art looks amazing and the cover or it looks fan made abit. the story is really good I’ve never played sonic adventure 2 and some of shadows others game so because of that I’ve never seen to much of what was shadow and maria’s relationship what but I do have a understanding of the basics but they Nero it down perfectly and is that giant lizard was that the biolizard or some failed version of it and I can’t get over how well they drew maria in every panel shes in they did a really good job with that too and seeing how maria was willing to die for shadow was beautiful to see again after awhile. the scenes where shadow was fighting was cool and shadow catching the bullet was cool af. at the end of the comic when the gun agent is about to shoot maria what was the eye in the background was that doom’s eye and what do they mean “to be counted in July” did the translation get mixed up or what. conclusion:a very good prologue manga 10/10 this would be cool if it was an anime I can’t wait for the next issue
