Tempo is such a dear, it’s a shame that I heard she’s an Archie exclusive character.

yeah, characters like Tempo, Dr. Lalinde, and Astil are all characters created for the comic
due to the simplistic and self-contained nature of classic mega man, capcom never really felt the need to expand on the core cast, save for the occasional fake out villain (Dr. Cossack and Kalinka, King later on), or new Mega Man rival (Proto-man, Bass)
with the comic though, Ian wanted to expand on the universe and really show that of course there’s more to the world than just Dr. Light and his creations, and use them as a vessel to investigate certain questions about the world of Rockman, like he did with Tempo and her trauma
