Sorry… I couldn’t help myself. Penders going after Paramount for introducing the concept of Knuckles having a dad in the second movie was just so over-the-top-crazy that I’m still giggling about it. Sure Buddy, they stole the idea from you that anthropomorphic animals can reproduce.
Knuckles would punch Penders so hard… Ok, I thought this would be ironically funny but I was wrong. I am absolutely disgusted and I feel sick. Why so much detail on the bodies? It looks so demented!! They were supposed to be innocent talking animals, but now I’m concerned Penders has weird fantasies about echidnas….

Separating the art from the artist here, I have only this to say: The story is ambitious with what it’s trying to tell. It gives me heavy 1970’s campy sci-fi B-Movie vibes. The character’s faces and inconsistent proportions are incredibly uncanny and the juxtaposition of photo shopped elements create this surreal chaotic atmosphere; like a bizarre fever dream/nightmare. I’d be lying if say I’m not (morbidly) curious what issue no.2 would look like (I’m just sick in the head like that I guess).

Oh my GOD! This is FAR worse to when Ken still drew stuff for the Archie Sonic series! He never realized that ‘Sonic-themed’ characters look totally off with ‘human’ proportions. And he drew all characters as if they were humans who were just wearing ‘furry masks’.
No matter what story this may have, as a Sonic fan I get NIGHTMARES just by looking at this. I hope Ken spent a FORTUNE of money for his lawsuits… because this will definitely NOT bring him praise and success. After all, his actions were most likely the reason for SEGA deciding to cancel a 3rd season of the SatAM Sonic cartoon series in favor of his ‘plans’ for a Sonic movie, the reason for the ‘Genesis Wave’ in the comics (a totall reboot of the so-far established universe) and several other things… including his attempt to write Sally out of the series by ‘going beyond the SatAM storyline’… yeah, much thanks for all that.
