Eggface sure loves his Egg Emperor. Even though the Egg Dragoon is CLEARLY his most powerful and awesome piloted mech.
When you think about it its pretty darned impressive Knuckles could adequately fill in for Superman for 2 weeks

Batman’s plot armor is wild, Metal Sonic loses to Batman is just the biggest piece of sh!t in my life

I think some people forget that the publishing company for this comic isn’t IDW it’s DC
My boy Metal was a bit nerfed, (hes mouscled through waaaay worse than a hit from a motercycle without shutting off)
but i appreciate they had Batman use his wits to beat him rather than go at it directly, thats how he usually does it.
I just wish they had more pages to make the fights here be real fights, cuz man i was looking forward to seeing Vlaze and Wonder Woman team up, but Blaze was holding back or unable to fight fully she said (im guessing cuz she didn’t wanna damage the chaos emerald…?)
But it was decent. Not as good as the last with all the novelty and clever moments but it was good.
I love how Batman, Superman, and the Flash just breezed through their segments with crazy ease. ESPECIALLY Superman. That was highkey embarrassing for Robotnik.
Flash running across that river was an obvious Sonic CD opening reference. And more evidence this is Barry and not Wally: The lightning symbol on his chest is different. Lately DC has been giving Wally’s traits to Barry because people tend to like him more so it’s confusing sometimes.

Me, when reading this
Ian Hasn’t confirmed which Flash we see in the Comic. I think it’s Barry, Honestly. He’s in the justice league and Barry is overall more popular True Identity if the Flash anyway. Wally West is a legacy character and Sonic isn’t. That Krakkel reference was just Ian feeding the DC fans like he does the Sonic Fans I think.

JUNE 18TH, TURN UP BOYS!
Recently I remembered this one panel from an older issue Archie Sonic where Sonic phased through matter similarly to the Flash. It was a direct reference too, he said “I saw this in a comic book once!”
I know im nitpicking but Archie Sonic shouldn’t be able to phase. He should be able to vibrate, but not phase. One of the sub-abilities you get from being connected to the Speed Force is being able to control your own molecular motion. This is what allows the Flash to vibrate and phase through matter in the first place. Uhm, Obviously Sonic doesn’t have control over his molecules Lol??? Most likely just an oversight on the writers part.

Found some info about this in regards to canon.
Ian said its self-contained to reasure everyone nothing will be consequential. That doesn’t necessarily mean noncanon but specifically that it wont affect the timeline. (example: 06 is self contained, all the events wipe itself out)
Now whether that means it is noncanon or that it will be time wiped I think we’ll have to read and see, like was said.
Is it just me or is anyone else rooting for Orbot and Cubot to be in the next issue?
